Class: Make a wooden box - Saturday, Jan 20th

Limited spots remaining! - From flower planters to record crates, compost bins to kitchen cabinets, many carpentry projects are based on the idea of combining rectangles to form boxes. In this class you will be introduced to some of the most basic concepts and tools of woodworking by making a simple box. We’ll cover topics including measuring and design, cutting lumber to specific dimensions, and assembling parts to create a finished piece, as well as important safety principles, common types of wood, and examples of what you can do with these skills. This will be a great class if you've never done any woodworking and you'd like to try; or if you haven't done any since middle school shop class and need a little refresher! Tools, materials, and safety equipment will all be provided. We'll have a few design variations you can try.
