Bozeman Makerspace is making a move

The Bozeman Makerspace is excited to announce that it will be moving to a new location at Four Corners. The Makerspace will now be housed at 7647 Shedhorn Drive Unit A, and will be offering expanded workshop facilities to the community.
The Bozeman Makerspace will be providing a rich schedule of programming in 2018, utilizing the new location immediately. Makers will create things including furniture, robots, musical instruments, art works, costumes, and more. Makerspace events will be hosted at the new space starting in December.
For over three years the Makerspace has been serving the community through the organization’s location at the Livestock Auction, and as a mobile group for two years before that.  The new Four Corners location will be larger and will allow the use of some new specialty tools and processes, such as metalworking, that will be valuable additions to this shared workspace. The members of the Makerspace are using the occasion of the move to design a top-quality creative, technical, and educational environment.
Classes are hosted regularly at the Makerspace to teach anyone how to use basic techniques such as woodworking, soldering, and 3D printing, or focusing on specific projects like binding a notebook, making art prints, or casting aluminum.
The Makerspace also hosts a weekly Open Build every thursday night, which gives anyone and everyone an opportunity to bring a project by that they’d like to work on or to just learn about the organization. The Makerspace and its members collaborate with many other organizations in town including the Fix-it Clinic, the Public Library, and the Farmer’s Market.
Anyone who joins as a member of the Makerspace can use the workspace and tools at any time for their own projects, and has space to store personal items. Members help to operate the organization and space, shaping this valuable creative resource, and can attend most classes for free. Please stay tuned to the Bozeman Makerspace website and social media for updates
